FAQ

FAQs / DO YOU HAVE A QUESTION FOR OLRIGHT?
Q1: WHAT ARE OLRIGHT NAPPIES MADE FROM?
Refer to the “Product” page; OLright nappies specially designed with 6 layers of liners, the top sheet is a patented 3D texture made with Australian cotton, which helps prevents trapped moisture from building up. A separate pocket holds the superabsorbent core and extra layer to prevent urine contact back to the skin. A water-based ink with waterproof and breathable film not only provides the signature image of “ADVENTURE” collection, but helps to keep leakage to clothing or bedding. The back sheet is 1.2D ultra-soft microfiber which provides anti-chafing properties and helps to minimise irritation on the skin.

OLright is an eco-friendly nappies made with Australian Cotton and no harsh chemicals, aiming to protect babies’ delicate skin and focus on babies’ feeling of extra softness and dryness.
Q3: DO OLRIGHT NAPPIES CONTAIN HARSH CHEMICALS?
No, we have taken part in dermatological & SGS testing and OLright nappies were found to have no Formaldehyde, Elemental Chlorine, Fluorescent Substance, Fragrance, Latex and Lotion. All OLright nappies are developed for babies’ delicate skin.
Q4: IS OLRIGHT NAPPY USING WATER-BASED INK?
Yes, all of the Olright nappies are using water-based ink for the film, to reduce potential irritation for baby’s delicate skin.
Q5: WHAT IS THE GEL INSIDE THE NAPPY?
Most disposable nappies contain a super-absorbent material (SAP) mixed with the wood pulp in the nappy core. The SAP absorbs liquid and TURNs into a gel significantly improving nappy absorbency.
SAP materials are safe, non-toxic, non-mutagenic, non-irritating and used throughout the sanitary industry.
Q6: I'VE FOUND SOME GEL ON MY BABY'S SKIN
If you find a small amount of gel (SAP) can come out of the nappy core and onto your baby's skin. It can be simply removed with a baby wipe or damp washcloth.
Q7: MY BABY IS A TUMMY SLEEPER
Tummy sleepers are tricky and most babies will go through this stage of tummy sleeping. Try moving to the next size up so the nappy sits higher. Another trick is putting the nappy on back to front at night.
Q8: ARE OLRIGHT NAPPIES DISPOSABLE NAPPIES SUSTAINABLE?
We use sustainable wood pulp in our nappies!
Q9: ARE OLRIGHT NAPPIES DERMATOLOGICALLY TESTED?

Q10: WHY DO OLRIGHT NAPPIES NOT HAVE BOYS AND GIRLS NAPPIES?
OLright nappies follows global trends of unisex nappies. Our nappies are carefully designed with new innovations to absorb moisture and provide maximum comfort in unisex design.
Q11: HOW DO THE NAPPIES PERFORM IN TERMS OF ABSORBENCY, LEAKAGE, AND COMFORT?
OLright nappies have been specially designed by our Australian production team.
For absorbency, there are components with sustainable wool pulp and super absorbent polymer, which can effectively hold more liquid than cotton.
For leakage, OLright nappies have 6 layers of liner with a separate pocket that holds the superabsorbent core and extra layer to prevent urine contact back to the skin. A higher waist design and extra leg guards also reduce the leakage from back and thighs.
For comfort, Australian cotton added on the top layer to baby’s butt and give a soft touch feeling. Special patent diversion technology with 3D print can effectively absorb the urine and locked in the wool pulp, extra aniti—layber leave a fresh and dryness touches on babies’ skin.
We also care about the back sheet, which is a 1.2D ultra-soft microfiber, it provides anti-chafing properties and helps to minimise irritation on the skin. Overall, the OLright production team has taken the time to survey what parents prefer in order achieve a high level of “PLUSH ‘N’ DRY” touch for the ultimate comfort for your baby.
Q12: CAN YOU PLEASE EXPLAIN THE WEIGHT RANGE GUIDE THAT APPEARS ON THE OLRIGHT PACKS? HOW HAS THE WEIGHT RANGES CHANGED?
OLright nappies and nappy pants are available in a range of sizes to suit every stage of development. Every OLright nappy and nappy pants pack features a weight range table to help parents select the most appropriate nappy for their baby. Every child is an individual, so the shape, fit and size may vary between packs. The weight range is a guide only to help Mums and Dads to determine the best size nappy for their child. The table below outlines the weight guide and slight overlaps between each of the sizes to help guide parents to find the best nappies for their child.
Q13: SIZE NAPPY TYPE WEIGHT RANGE
Newborn Nappies Up to 5kg
Infant Nappies 3 to 8 kg
Crawler Nappies 6 to 11 kg
Toddler Nappies 9 to 14 kg
Walker Nappies 12 to 17 kg
Junior Nappies 15 to 25 kg
Q14: I HAVE ACCIDENTALLY PUT A NAPPY IN THE WASHING MACHINE, HOW DO I REMOVE IT?
The padding inside OLright nappies is made from a mixture of wood pulp and a Super Absorbent Polymer called Polyacrylate. The Super Absorbent starts in a crystal form and turns into a gel when wet. This combined with the wood pulp helps to prevent nappy leakage. In a machine wash the nappy would have absorbed an enormous amount of water. This, combined with the washing action, would have resulted in the nappy disintegrating into small pieces, most likely clumps.
You will need to clean both the washing machine and any clothes that were in the wash with the nappy. Firstly remove all clothes from the washing machine. Scoop out any leftover nappy/pant, wood pulp and absorbency crystals that may be left in the machine. Remove and clean the machine filter, then replace. Once the filter has been replaced, run a normal wash cycle with no clothes in the machine. If you like, add some anti- bacterial liquid to the cycle to eliminate any germs present.
Once the machine is clean, re-wash any clothes that have nappy particles on them. If any item of clothing is severely affected, wash it separately by hand and then re-wash it in the machine. Once again add some anti-bacterial rinse to the wash if you desire. Clean the washing machine filter again once the cycle is complete. If there are any remaining particles on your clothes remove them with a lint brush once the clothes are dry.
Q15: WHY HAS MY BABY’S NAPPY STARTED TO LEAK?
OLright nappies are designed for day and night time use and have a set of specifications, which are strictly followed by our Quality Team. Every child is different in shape and size, so, occasionally leakage problems may occur. Other factors, such as how often the child has a bladder or bowel movement may also affect the absorbency of the nappy. The weight range on the pack is a guide only to help mums and dads determine the best size nappy for their child. Leakage issues can often be resolved by moving to the next size up.
